The Drupal Сonference was held in San Francisco in April 19-21st 2010

More than 3000 attendees signed up on the site of DrupalCon San Francisco. Dries Buytaert made a speech live on the internet.
Unfortunately Drupal 7 had not been ready by that date. The new release will be introduced in a few months after removing every serious error.
